We have come to an end of another year. Many have lost loved one's this year, and I will pray for you and your families for the up-coming year to bring much love and many blessings.
Many off us lost jobs, many of us lost friends, we loose so much every year, and all we can do is hold on and pray that the next year will get better, the next year will be our year.
Many of us have shed pounds, shed tears, shed so much in our lives, remember the pain, remember the love, remember the memories, this is all we have in our lives to learn and gain from this experience, and carry over our hearts and souls in our new lives with the Lord.
I would like to share some of my memories of this year.

Destiny celebrated a birthday.
A swim party with friends.
My Destiny grew up...
My cousin got married...
I took a trip to Enid, OK; and rode in my Pops boat..
I caught a fish...
My baby turned 10... and got a Michael Jackson buddy..
I died my hair pink for my cousin Amy.
I lost 117 pounds...
Me 1 year ago.
Christmas with the brothers 2009...
And then I died my hair blond lol....
Thank you for sharing 2009 with me.
This year our lives changed so dramatically as I am sure they changed in your own lives. God knows what he is doing, we have to believe in this. 2010 WILL ROCK!!!!

Heidi ~ I really loved what you wrote and I would truly appreciate the prayer for those who lost loved ones (3) this year - it has been very difficult.
Except for the loss of Amy, your memories of the year were mostly very good - enjoyed reviewing all of these with you.

Heidi, I really appreciate what you have written here. It's been a turbulent up and down year for me, that's for sure...from losing a friend 9 days before Christmas to my husband losing his job right after Thanksgiving....to good things...on January 4th I will celebrate 6 months of no smoking, I completed the Bardic section of my Druid college..to having both of my sons with me for the holidays. In my 62 years, I have learned that you have to balance the good with the bad. Happy New Years to you and yours.

I loved this idea for a post! Every year comes with ups and downs but I believe everything happens for a reason. I think it is very importent to awknowledge all the positive events.
On Christmas I too was thinking about how much Destiny had grown. Your girls are turning into woderful young ladies.
I know 2010 is going to hold many more blessings for all of us. I can think of one that is brewing at this moment ;) I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday and if I don't see you please tell the girls Happy New Year.

As my husband says...march on Jackie, march on...I actually prefer a few side steps and a little cha cha gets me by, tango too!
For me, 2009 was a bit of a roller coaster but most the time it was really really good. I always say, Jackie, you have nothing to complain about.

Love this post. Yes, many hearts have been broken and many hearts have rejoiced. Your weight loss is awesome (so proud for you) and it gives me hope, I can do this. Love your blond hair, not into pink. And I'm so glad I found your site and have enjoyed it so very much.
My promise to myself for 2010 is to try and be the best person I can. To enjoy life and spend more time with my 75 year old mother.

Good Tuesday Morning, Heidi! Yes, this year brought a couple of very big changes for me, with Dear Daughter moving to her own apartment, and we having to move to a new home.. And these kinds of things are tough for the anti-change/comfortable right where I am type of girl!! But I'm so much tougher on the inside than people think! "Small But Mighty" is "one of" (ha! ha!) the names my ex-husband used to call me!! I do try to keep my chin up, and hold on dearly to the hope that there is a newer, maybe better, silver lining to all this!.. And then, of course, I must remember to count my blessings, because they are indeed MANY! I hope and pray for better days and all God's blessings for all of us in the new year ahead!.. Sometimes you don't think you've made progress until you put all the events together, then you can see clearly.
Even if this doesn't become "my year", I'm still grateful that I have a roof over my head, food in the cupboard, and clothes on my back, with my family beside me!
